Service tools · The VALOR Groups

Tools,in service.

Some of the help churches need is best given as software. So we build it, and hold it to the standard we hold all our work to: it has to serve people, and its results have to be real.

The outcome it serves

No first-time visitor goes unwelcomed.

ChurchOSchurchos.valorgroups.org · being set up

The records and routines of a whole church in one place: its people and visitors, ministries and groups, events and attendance, volunteers, giving with receipts, and pastoral care.

Pastoral notes are sealed, sign-in can ask for a second step, and every change is written to an audit trail. Members get their own app for groups, sermons and their giving.

What happens when someone visits
  1. Welcome formA first-timer fills it in on a phone
  2. A personThey join the church's records once, not twice
  3. A follow-upA task with a name on it and a due date
  4. A nudgeThe right staff member is told, by email too
  5. A welcome backThe follow-up is done, and the record shows it

The outcome it serves

Nobody is too far away, or too low on data, to join the service.

VineStreamvinestream.valorgroups.org · being set up

Livestreams, recordings and replays made for weak connections and small data plans. A member opens a WhatsApp link, with no account to create, and hears the preacher within seconds.

They choose full video, a data saver, sound only, or slides with sound. A privacy pause keeps a moment off the stream and out of the recording. Check-ins, prayer requests and gifts go straight to the church's ChurchOS records.

One hour of service costs about
  • Full video885 MB
  • Data saver120 MB
  • Sound only25 MB

Worked out from the bitrates we measured in testing. Real use varies with the phone and the network.

A church's records are its own

Each church sees only its own people, gifts and notes. A person's data can be exported or erased when they ask.

Prayer stays private

Pastoral notes are sealed. A prayer request sent from VineStream is passed to the church and then erased from VineStream.

Our name is on them

Every tool carries the mark “A support product by The VALOR Groups”, so you always know who stands behind it.

Both tools are being set up now

Want them for your church?

Tell us about your congregation and we'll be in touch as they open.

The tools are one part of our work. Most of it is people. Volunteer or intern, or give to a campaign.
